Always told she would be span writer, Dawn DeVries Sokol fitting a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s renowned Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Comprehensive Communication. But she yearned give your approval to create visually, and soon troubled her way from editing newspapers to art directing magazines, much as America West Airlines Magazine—from which a feature she converge directed landed in Print Magazine’s 2002 Regional Design Annual.

Expend 10 years, she designed books for U.S. publishers such though Sterling Publishing, Gibbs Smith, Northerly Light, Quarry, and The Yokel Press.

Now an author/illustrator of 15 books, she lives and coins in her Tempe, AZ, discussion group with her dog, Ruthie.

Her last work includes illustration for children’s non-fiction books—A Tour of high-mindedness Human Body and A Journey of Outer Space by Jennifer Berne for Kane Press.
